The Best Laid Plans

Updated: Jun 29, 2022

It’s a new year, which means a lot of us are making promises to give up something, get going on something, lose 10 pounds, or find inner peace. I am one of those people. Last year, my goal was to be more “present” in the hope I could find gratitude in the everyday. My kids (4 and 8) seem to be aging at the speed of light so I wanted to soak up what’s left of their childhood. But that was so last year.  Done. Check.

2018 is the year I’m looking ahead, literally and figuratively. This is the year that I “future plan.” After becoming an expert at living one day at a time, I could use some forward thinking, a wider perspective on everything from the growth of my business to stocking our fridge. I am going to be the master of my days. I bought a new fancy leather planner and have even cracked it open. Twice.

But it’s still early. We have 11 more months of practice to get this right, and we’re all works in progress. I hope 2018 delivers whatever you want this year to bring: a healthier you, a robust business, a happy family. Drop me a line and tell me what you’re working on and how it’s going.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to plan what’s for dinner.
