What Are You Waiting For?

Updated: Jun 29, 2022

telling life story

Someone I respect in business told me today that she could tell I’ve found my voice in marketing, and I was so happy, she might as well have told me that I won the lottery. While I love working on kid books and wedding albums, the projects that mean the most to me are the ones that are most urgent to preserve: the life stories of our parents and grandparents who are treasure troves of wisdom, experience, and perspective. If you follow me on social media, I'll be sure to remind you of this fact frequently.

Think about it. These are people who have sacrificed so much for us, who have struggled with love, loss, parenting, and careers just like us, who have made mistakes, learned lessons, and have also had great successes along the way. That's one heck of a story to tell.

So after three years of preserving family stories, I have a few words for those of you who have been thinking about doing this for yourself, or for a parent or grandparent but haven’t pulled the trigger. What the heck are you waiting for? Now is the time.

Call it a birthday gift, mother’s/father’s day gesture, or incredibly early holiday present, and let's get started preserving these life stories for your family. We are not guaranteed tomorrow, and we take stories with us when we go. Let Memoir for Me be your personal journalist to celebrate your family’s unique legacy.

A quick note of gratitude... as we celebrate our 3rd year of storytelling, I have to profusely thank my husband for patiently waiting for this business to come into it’s own—we’re getting there, babe!—and thank all of YOU. Memoir for Me wouldn’t be where we are now without the support, referrals, kind words, social media shares, advice, and business from you. So thank you. Now let's preserve more stories that matter.

Hope to hear from more of you in 2018 because now is the time!
